The history of “El pez Gordo” (‘the big fish”)!

I’ll start with the first post with our own victory in crunchtime. It was the night of the 25.03 of 2009 when two urban illustrators conquered a concrete wall with their own interpretation of the big fish’s greed. Enjoy the video and music creation of that little action some where at the rails of Vienna. Music theme remixed from the Album “Stereotyp meets Al’Haca Phase three”, track: Boss it

Yesterday this email landed in my inbox and i cracked up… in a positive way. This guy Ton from Amsterdam is joining the dots and is wondering if we are trying to break it down with the sickest marketing or if we just don’t want people to get our music. Well, we believe the internet is full of Crunchtime music and it is spreading almost automatically… No, for real, we know alotta stuff is just not accessable. This problem we are trying to solve in every way… That’s why we started Crunchtime end of 2008… all the goodies are still on our hard disks. Watch out for all the upcoming stuff in all different forms. Meanwhile you can build MONSTERS for us and receive free mp3′s…

BIG FAN

The Saga continued. Darco had some funny electric breakdown in the beginning of the show (he cut the power wire…) so he had to start all over again… Must have been the red wine. In the Stereotyp Chronicals he went through the years 1998 and 1999.. first releases actually named Stereotyp. Classics like Free Pete and Slo Jo …. you name ‘em. We also broadcasted a ROBOT KOCH mixtape called Robot’s Don’t Sleep… you can download Robot’s mixtape also here:ROBOTS DON’T SLEEP

But here is the CRUNCHTIME RADIO SHOW with playlist and everything…BRAAAP

Here we go. The second show actually had a concept going on, which is now moving on with the show: The Stereotyp Chronicals! This dude started releasing music 1997… Sick stuff, which deserves to travel… That’s what soundwaves are for. We also started drinking and enjoying red red wine, which goes damn well with mixing, talking and listening to muuuuusic. Peter Keppler sponsored the good stuff: www.weintimer.at
Darco and Cee and some Red Wine

Playlist is on Play.FM as well as the CRUNCHTIME RADIO SHOW as you know… check check.

This session also has a little extra for you. Cee and DNA from Paris had a little session at DONAU in Vienna. Great Spot… We played one hour out of that night. Enjoy!

This was the first Crunchtime Radio Show session… Since we are developing the concept behind the show while we are doing it (this is how we get through life), the first show only featured Cee alone and Darco joined Cee in the second one (Cee left him alone on the third one though kekekeke…) Anyways, the concept behind this show was simple… Cee rolled out a little semi live ableton session and went through a few chillers and bangers.. goofed arround basically. So check for yourself… No playlist available… He was lazy.

“Pon Time” Video

It was after the bizarre and non compromising single on Stereo Deluxe records that the meeting of Stereotyp and Microfish (a close musical connection to the Al Haca sound system), was worthy of notice and attention. The trips from North Eastern Germany to Vienna became more frequent and the experiments really turned inwards and forwards. A true meeting of the musical minds, with knob twiddling as the focus of the art form. Stereotyp meets Microfish became Stereotyp meets Al Haca and the series of small twists and turns on the control panels got greater and more profound.

Family Business – produced by Stereotyp AlHaca Album: Family Business
CRUNCHTIME

Live at CAMERA CLUB Vienna

The future sound pioneers are back with a 7 song mini LP genre bender entitled Family Business. This time around the mission is to get personal.
While featuring extended Family members, Al Haca have decided to focus on the voice of the eclectic RQM. Stylistically diverse, the end product is an intimate LP rich in storytelling.

Cee: “Apart from touring and dropping limited edition 7 inches, we’ve really been out of the mix for a second. So with this new release, which is really a preview to an entire series, we’ve decided to show the world the full spectrum of our sound – from the pop to the not so. And being that we have a host of vocal talent around us – we put all of them on. It’s family business!!”

Unlike other producer driven projects, which come off sounding more like compilations, Family Business is pure Al Haca. The songs drift effortlessly between 4-4 beats and staggering offs, acoustic instrumentation and the signature Al Haca – Stereotyp Sci-Fi synths, while a world of nano dub bubbles just below the surface. Cryptonite, Dial Zero and Citrus call for late night headphone sessions, while Family Business or Banana Split will rock every dancefloor and barbeque this summer!!! Once again on production duty alongside Cee is the Tolcha beat surgeon known as Rasda, while the Executive Producer controls are held down by none other than Vienna’s prodigy problem child Stereotyp, who recently ripped up playlists worldwide with his future soul album “Keepin Me” (G-Stone). Alongside RQM, the army of choice vocalists contributing megatons of soul include Coppa, Oliver Grimball, Hubert Tubbs, Sandra Kurzweil, Cesar Sampson, FEFE, Patrizia Ferrara and Vera Böhnisch aka L’enfant Terrible.
