As you already have noticed, Crunchtime was invited on the 26 August 2009 by the Peng! Magazine to do a live outdoor painting show in the garden of the Pratersauna. Drawvolution is still editing the the video… in the meantime here some photo impressions of the action:
Yes! it was a wicked production and a wired night.We had a short guideline: a 5 m long and 2 m height canvas,black and white, acrylic paint, markers, the logo, an orange-red as and the smashing hand…. but finally all went into another direction. Stereotyp started with his face and the punching fist. Momo1030 and Cee were working on the middle section with a wired ball pen marker illustrating a crunching mixtape. Ipsy joined the session too, helping us with some little details and some art direction. And finally the result was a wired crunchtime train full of little details, shadows and strange pattern popping up through the canvas

Hui, hui, hui … took a time for updates this time… no, Drawvolution is not dead, we only took a holiday break. We took advantage of the hot sun and produced some big outdoor murals with some friends of Spain and Germany. !JEAH it was crunching time for more roll-up actions in the center of Vienna!

First Action took place in the second district with Fefe, Remend and Mascaras.
Second Action took place in the third district with Wurstbande, Skizo and Mascaras.

The other day the Peng Mag asked us to do an interview and yeah… we loved the idea to do a huge CRUNCHTIME interview but didn’t really wanna do another bla bla bla business interview. So we decided to do a painting session @ pratersauna and do a huge photosession. Sounds like fun. Joja and N8nurse will be spinning bass and soul for us. Barefoot of course.

Are you all satisfied? Aua…what a saturday night. Jahcoozi came over from Berlin and brought us lots of bass (yes, of course the P.A. was too small…more bass …), barefoot music and style non stop. The crowd loved it and lemme tell you I was so pleased with the Viennese support. This was actually the best Crunchtime night in Vienna so far. People nuts…

But yeah, the praising was a must for those who could still stand up. Jahcoozi’s Live Set was of the hook. Sasha needed help indeed to do so.
And they gave us more then just a spoon full. No wonder we all couldn’t properly stand up straight..
The night before our Jahcoozi Fam performed at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate as the opener for the Athletic Olympics yo…A-Ha played too la. Hehehee… On TV and all. That’s what’s up : )

Cee of Al Haca fame is back in Vienna, so the Crunchtime possee celebrates it in the best way they know: by throwing a huge welcome party with his brother in arms Stereotyp and fellow bass maniacs Jahcoozi.
Jahcoozi is a Berlin-based multinational trio comprised of Sri-Lankan/British MC Sasha Perera, Robot Koch and Israeli born Oren Gerlitz. The group’s sound has been described as a blend of abstract electronic beats within ragga, hip-hop, blip-hop and electronica elements.
We call it BAREFOOT!

Good to be home folks. Before I actually move for good I am here in KL, Malaysia, to see how people are loving the barefoot vibe CRUNCHTIME is spreading again and again and again. So what happend so far: Ara and me did a surprise gig at the 7th anniversary of JUICE . Thanks to Kevin, Muna and the whole Juice crew for making it happen. Ara and me performed at HOME CLUB Singapore, which was heaps of fun. Had some serious difficulties getting into SG, cause we had a sealed pack of cigarettes in the car (200 Singapore $$$ had to be put on the table. No sign that you can’t bring your own cigarettes though. At airports worldwide they even have signs that you can’t bring bombs… great…well…whatever…robots say HELLO) Home Club feels like home for sure. Thanks to Kelvin, Robin, Ming, Dubwise and the whole crew for making it happen! Was good to see the family too: Stefan, Aresha, and of course Don. You are the man!

yup, cee is in town (and yes rumors are true: cee will move to kuala lumpur in fact this october…to stay… cause he loves the heat, the haze, the jungle and the love…). so anyways, point is, we will be running a free ableton live workshop this thursday at Cloth and Clef.
