Summer Fridays, Supergoop, Drunk Elephant, Briogeo. Several winners at the 25 annual CEW Beauty Insider Awards had something in common: retail partnerships with Sephora. Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores, cofounders of Summer Fridays, made special mention of the retailer in their acceptance speech.
“It’s the power of the influencer and Sephora — they’ve only been in business a year, but boy do they have a following and people like the products,” said Carlotta Jacobson, president of CEW. “Sephora signed on before even had packaging. When Sephora helps to build a brand, that’s powerful.”
