Element Europe joined forces with Crunchtime artists based in Vienna, Austria for a skateboard live-painting project this autumn. Decks coming out of artists’ series by skateboard companies are usually either too exclusive or too expensive to be skated. Hence, they usually end up on a wall in a living room. But you know what – NO street NO art!

We painted 30 boards in summer 2009 and the notorious INOPERAbLE Gallery in Vienna is going to show at the 19 December the whole project with impressions of the Crunchtime painting sessions.

The making-of was pretty fun. We used mixed techniques like eddings, spray cans and photo prints from the painting sessions and put them together onto a paper and filmed it while rolling it from one side to the other. The music was a collaboration of Dubmaster Cee and Momo on the wackedegged-guitar.
